This past Sunday, Council members got together to do service. We had the opportunity to clean up the beautiful Whipple Dam State Park, take a 3 mile hike (longer than planned!) and have some time to reflect on why we serve. We made a fire and had an amazing time hanging out with one another:
As a reflection activity, students were first asked who their heroes were and what motivates them. With this in mind, students were then asked to personally reflect on why they serve. Once written, students were paired with another Council member and asked to make joint statements. These were what they came up with:
