MEDLIFE MEETING MINUTES 8/15/12

Start-8:00pm

  • $670 Mobile Clinic travels (minus airfare)
  • Johnson and Johnson video due Monday 8/22/12 on our organization and what we’re all about- $10,000 grand prize
  • T-shirt designs, 3 designs- sending out in an email to vote on best design
  • Membership fees of $25 being collected- bring to next meeting if you forgot

Fundraising ideas: Goal- $1000

  • HUB Bake Sale- last week of October
  • HUB Water Pong (same time as bake sale)
  • Restaurants giving a percentage of their profit for the night— Five Guys, Coldstone, Chilis, Rotellis, Philly Pretzel Factory, Ritas
  • Bake Sale downtown ( after ohio state game )
  • Silcone wristbands
  • Facebook page to donate 
  • M&M Jar
  • Asking doctors for supplies to donate- gloves, sterilizer, etc..
  • Donation boxes in a business at home

Mobile Clinic:

  • Dates up until Decemeber- still waiting on dates for summer sessions
  • Everyone should decide if they’d like to attend one in the summer

MEDLIFE Post First Meeting

Hi everyone!
 
Welcome new and old members to MEDLIFE! Thanks to all who made it out to our first meeting on Oct. 1st! For those who couldn’t attend, we had our representative from Equador come and talk to us about Medlife and give us an in-depth overview on what this organization is all about. The officers got the chance to introduce themselves, and Rachel and Ross spoke of their experiences when attending a mobile clinic down in Equador this past summer.
 
Our next meeting will be held on MONDAY OCTOBER 15TH at 8PM in 332 HEALTH & HUMAN DEVELOPMENT EAST BUILDING. We plan on discussing fundraising ideas as well as seeing who would want to attend a mobile clinic this summer. We will be collecting our membership fee of $25 so we can start ordering Medlife t-shirts. Everyone please bring that to the meeting!
