Hello, and welcome to my blog! My name’s Amanda, a current freshman at Penn State. Here, I’ll share some bits of my experiences as a new freshman in college, as well as some (i.e: mainly) assignments for my COMM100 class.
A bit about me: I’m 18 years old, born and raised in Jackson, New Jersey. If you don’t know where that is, think of Six Flags Great Adventure (we’ve got Kingda Ka) or maybe the show Jersey Shore, where they filmed in Seaside, NJ; about 30 minutes away from where I live. My interests are all over the place, and that’s probably why I’m enrolled in the Division of Undergraduate Studies at Penn State, but I’m leaning towards Kinesiology these days. I love to draw, read, watch football (NY Giants!!), go to the beach back at home, be with my friends and family- typical teenage girl things. I try to appreciate the little things in life, and live to the fullest for those who cannot and those who I have lost. It’s scary growing up, but it’s unavoidable; and Penn State is where my journey really begins. And, to say the least, I’m REALLY excited!! 🙂
