Berks Youth Anti-Violence Coalition
The Berks Youth Anti-Violence Coalition is a collaborative working group comprised of community organizations, community leaders and government-sponsored agencies that exists to eradicate violence in Berks County. Our intent is to reduce the duplication of services, address gaps in services to youth, and help create a community in which all youth can live, flourish and develop to their full potential without fear of violence. The Coalition does this by:
-
- Sharing space, information, training and evidence-based practices
- developing new community specific intervention and prevention strategies
- coordinating and supporting efforts between coalition participants.
Working together, coalition participants aspire to maximize our individual and collective community impact in our service areas. The coalition depends on mutual support and respect for the individual missions of each organization/agency, and a collective commitment to our community.
