Goals of the Robotics Club

What does the PSU Robotics Club hope to accomplish?

  • To promote engineering and STEM into the community through presentations and demonstrations
  • Help students to gain many skills that can be helpful for resumes and opportunities
  • Hosts different companies to show students different industry trends
  • Teaches students how to build unique robots and learn new skills along the way

When I was in high school, I participated in VEX robotics. I like being part of robotics because it is a fun activity that is very hands-on and allows me to be fully immersed in the world of new technology. Additionally, the skills that are gained from robotics allows us to work together in a cohesive team, which is great practice for the industry.

Quartermaster

I’ve been interested in robotics ever since I joined my FIRST robotics team in high school. Getting to work on robots of that scale and compete really solidified my love of engineering and has driven me to pursue a path in autonomy and controls. And, on the plus side, autonomous robots are just really fun to make and really rewarding to see work out just the way you envisioned it.

Outreach & Fundraising Chair

I have always been fascinated with robotics ever since I was a kid. I find robots to be the perfect combination of all forms of engineering. But to be honest … robots are just cool :). Thankfully, I had the opportunity to explore my passion of robotics in high school through FIRST Robotics. However, not everyone got that chance to have that experience, and that is something I want to change!
