Leadership Philosophy v1.1

Taking into account the seminars for the month of April and my transition to a new role, I decided to revise my leadership philosophy. At the heart of it, I still firmly believe that a true leader doesn’t see themselves as a leader and they believe in those they work with. I fully expect this philosophy to change even more over the course of the next year, but I think I have a good start.

“Leading with others means to work with, guide, inspire, and respect those on my team. This will be accomplished by listening actively, asking questions, and being available for candid feedback to better understand the viewpoints around me.  Additionally, decisions and motivations should be ethically driven to match the moral beliefs of both my and my team’s philosophy. These skills, along with knowing the strengths and opportunities of myself and my team, will help those understand my vision and the goals for the team.”
