‘A Perfect World’
There exists this perfect world
α world full of our amazing dreams that will unfold
α world beyond others imagination
That is kept alive by our exhilaration
α love we’ll never need
To be ashamed of all our deed
α world built with selfless love for each other
Where we ‘ll have to live in peace together
They can have this world because it’s their own
But don’t you worry, we’ll build our own
α world that will choose us for who we truly are
Erasing our sorrows in α hare
α world that will make us a royalty
By bringing our dreams αnd wishes to reality
α world without fear
Because it will be built with pillars of care
α world we will get to experience peace
That we never are on α lease
α world governed by the peace with feelings in our heart
αnd ruled by a selfless love that will never depart
α world full of peace of mind
Where we’ll be at peace with our soul αnd mind
It’s like dark turning into day
Where love will have it way
We may not be strong or smart
But somewhere in our secret heart
We pray for this world to come soon
Without the presence of doubtable swoon
α world full of galaxies of stars
With no horrors αnd scars
Oops!!! Did I get it right?
Yeah that’s αs sparkling αs α radiant light
In αs much perfect this world may be
It can never be complete without us in it for real
The picture of the world can never be clear
If our face didn’t get to appear
Funny it is
But amazing it is
no matter what you may been through
This unique world lives inside of you
The above poetry is beautifully written by ‘Stanley Oguh’, which describes the world that he wants to live in, the world which knows only peace, humanity, selfless love, unity in diversity, jubilance, and cheerfulness. How winsome is the world that knows no hatred, no boundaries, no selfishness, no poverty, no inequality or superior-inferior complex, no terrorism, no unethical beliefs or actions!

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
According to some studies, less than 1% of domestic violence cases are reported to the police. In the United States, 10–35% of the population will be physically aggressive towards a partner at some point in their lives. As abuse becomes more severe women become increasingly overrepresented as victims.
1 in 3 Women and 1 in 4 Men have been victims of physical violence by an intimate partner.
Here, is a short film addressing the issue of domestic violence. It speaks clearly for itself that women are not any object and nothing gives men the right to torture them or release their frustration or anger on them.
The caption “#StartWithTheBoys” gives the society a message that to stop domestic violence, we will have to start teaching the boys that they ought not to make a woman cry, whereas, for ages, the society has been teaching men not to cry and to be bold and strong.
SEXUAL ASSAULT AND SAFETY OF WOMEN
Sexual assault and abuse is any type of sexual activity that you do not agree to, including:
- inappropriate touching
- vaginal, anal, or oral penetration
- sexual intercourse that you say no to
- rape
- attempted rape
- child molestation
It can be verbal, visual, or anything that forces a person to join in unwanted sexual contact or attention.
1. Know what sexual assault, abuse, and harassment are
2. Get medical treatment if you are sexually assaulted or hurt
3. Know you are not alone and you are not to blame
4. Tell someone trustworthy about it
5. Consider telling the police about it
6. Establish a protection plan
7. Get counseling
8. Find a longer term safe place
9. For more information go to these places
Women’s shelters, police, crown attorney’s office-they all have a department dealing with this. You can also check hospitals, multicultural associations, women’s centers, a local YWCA, telephone crisis lines, the Public Legal Education and Information Association (in Canada), lawyer referral services, legal aid offices, doctors or public health nurses, social workers, mosques, Islamic centers, Islamic Social Services Association of the United States and Canada (ISSA) or regional Islamic social services.
WORLD POVERTY
Poverty is most commonly defined by economic standards, based on income levels and access to basic human necessities, such as food, water, and shelter. Poverty is often described with a scale, ranging from extreme to moderate levels.
Poverty has many ties to physical health as well, as the world’s poorest countries consistently demonstrate the lowest life expectancies. The majority of these health problems can be traced back to unsafe drinking water and malnutrition, which causes an estimated 8 million people to die every year in addition to 30,000 children’s deaths per day.
Here is a list of some of the poorest countries in the world:
- The Democratic Republic of the Congo
- Zimbabwe
- Burundi
- Liberia
- Eritrea
- Niger
- Afghanistan
- Nepal
TERRORISM
The unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims is known as terrorism. A tremendous amount of innocent people have sacrificed their lives due to the barbaric attacks of these brutal and mercy-less terrorists.
Fighting terrorism may seem like an overwhelming concept, but every private citizen can do their part to help.
We can try to recognize potential threats and diverse forms of extremism, inform the authorities if you notice something abnormal. Also, the basic reasons of people becoming terrorists are lack of education, poverty, corruption and an unwell/unfair treatment of them by the society. So, we could also resolve this problem by contributing to the improvement of social conditions, reaching out to the marginalized peers, supporting anti-terrorism organizations.
INVOLVEMENT OF SPECIALLY ABLED PEOPLE
Disability is a physical or a mental condition that limits a person’s movements, senses or activities, where he/she is not able to do the normal day-to-day activities.
One billion people, or 15% of the world’s population, experience some form of disability, and disability prevalence is higher for developing countries. One-fifth of the estimated global total, or between 110 million and 190 million people, experience significant disabilities.
There is a blog by ‘Saba Salman’ which covers people, places and projects making a difference in society, and issues ranging from community to social enterprise, charity, social care, housing, and families. Especially, it includes stories of the disabled people who wanted to get involved in the society but had to face many hardships because of the mindset of people, but ultimately got jobs and earn a living for themselves.

Well, as we know, that it isn’t all. There are a lot of global issues, some unattended to and ignored and some, very difficult to be eradicated, that have been there in the world, for centuries.
It is the purity of heart that enables us to see the world in a different way. If heart and mind are at peace, one will find beauty and harmony all around, but if there are pain and sorrow in heart, one may forget to appreciate the beauty of nature and the society.
Act globally, educate yourself and others, make everyone aware, identify your role in the society, try to support an anti-poverty organization, demand for strictness of laws, have an active participation in the politics and other global issues.
As someone said that every drop counts, even the smallest contribution is appreciated.
