ASL is the honor society for adult learners.

Requirements:

• Degree-seeking
• 24 credits of Penn State coursework
• Top 20% of the Class
• Minimum GPA of 3.5

Meaning:

• Alpha- “First”
• Sigma- “Scholarship”
• Lambda- “Leadership”
• Motto: First in Scholarship and Leadership.

Being inducted into the honor society at Penn State means the world to me. As an adult learner, I have come so far and put in so much effort for my education. It is a real pleasure to see my name associated with the honor society. As a first-generation college student, I am beyond proud of myself for this achievement. I have worked full-time throughout my entire educational journey, and for me to have a 3.980 GPA is surreal to me. My time at Penn State involved countless early mornings, late nights, zoom meetings, phone calls, and an endless number of emails. I am beyond excited to graduate this Summer, and I am proud to say that I will soon be a Penn State alumna.
