Title

Reducing the Climate Crisis by Decreasing Computer eWaste: Introducing an Efficient User Behavioral Model Based on a Set of Safe Computing Practices

Abstract…

This project aims to examine the global damage end-user computing is causing and how to spread awareness about the devastating impact it has on the world. The world is adapting to new technologies every single day and it relies on technology to function. What many people don’t understand is how it does severely affect the climate. This research will gain insight into some peoples’ computer usage and what kind of eWaste they are creating. The eWaste that is generated needs to be thoroughly studied to determine what techniques can be used in order to spread awareness about eWaste and how it can harm the environment. Based on the findings presented in this study, an immediate impact will occur because it affects an ongoing battle with climate change. This study will identify what eWaste occurs when end users interact, operate, and use computers. Overall, this research will evaluate the eWaste emitted into the environment and will allow us to devise ways to mitigate the climate crisis due to technology.
