Title

Privacy Inequality and IT Identities: The Impact of Different Privacy Laws Adoptions

Abstract…

This project aims to answer two questions, how can organizations protect customers’ Personally Identifiable Information (PII) under different privacy law requirements, and how are users’ self-development of online identities and trust impacted by the adoption of protection laws? In order to answer these questions, we will be using a website called “Didomi” which is a data privacy barometer used to map multiple privacy regulations across the world. We hope to find some connections between the ways that some cultures view privacy of their data, the way they conduct themselves online, and the privacy laws that are in place to protect them.
