Here at Penn State Schuylkill we take sustainability seriously. Our latest effort is designed to help inform the community about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs are tied to methods and topics needed to improve the world, including protecting the environment and helping improve quality of life for all humans around the world. Many of the activities that we participate in regularly can also fall under SDGs, but knowing that you are participating has been less visible. This is where we aim to change that – SDG stickers. Events and tools related to SDGs will be tagged with a small sticker and a QR code. The sticker is a quick reminder that we each can do our part to improve the world, while the QR code links you to more information about that SDG. For more information about SDGs, please check out the UN’s website on Sustainable Development. Look for them around campus. If you think an SDG might apply to your event or project, reach out to us at Schuylkill Sustainability.
