I am a currently finishing up my last semester of classes to complete my Master of Science in Art Education and my Post-Baccalaureate Pennsylvania Level 1 Teaching Certification in Art for grades preK-12. My research is centered on young children’s drawing and art making practices with a focus on the social aspects of drawing including the negotiation of gender constructs. This fall I will be student teaching in the State College area, including an elementary and high school placement, in order to complete the requirements for my teaching certification. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, traveling and catching a good baseball game.
