Winter Warmth Drive

During the academic year, the Sheetz Fellows are split into groups to work on collaborative projects that benefit Penn State Altoona students, alumni, and the local community. The projects provide real-world experience, giving students an opportunity to engage in meaningful learning outside of a typical classroom setting. This semester, a group of Sheetz Fellows students are working on the Winter Warmth Drive.

The Sheetz Fellows students are accepting donations for new or gently used winter coats, sweatshirts, hats, gloves, and scarves for Penn State Altoona students. They will be collecting sizes ranging from adult XS-XXXL. In addition, students will also collect new pens, pencils, highlighters, markers, sticky notes, notebooks, paper clips, binder clips, and binders.

Donation drop-off boxes are available in multiple locations at Penn State Altoona. All donated items will be in designated areas on campus for Penn State Altoona students to pick up as needed.

In addition to collecting donations, the students will also host holiday card-making events around campus. The holiday cards made at these events will be distributed to local Veterans and nursing facilities during the month of December.

Penn State Altoona Students will be able to pick up Winter Warmth and school supply items now at the following locations:
