Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Who is allowed to perform?
A: Anyone that plays a low brass instrument that’s considered part of the tuba family. These include tubas, baritones, euphoniums, and marching instruments like the tenorhorn and bugle. Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome.
Q: Do I have to pre-register?
A: There’s no pre-registration required. Show up the morning of the event and register between 8:30 & 9:25.
Q: I played in a Tuba Christmas earlier this year. Do I have to pay again?
A: No need to pay the fee if you’re wearing your commemorative button from the first event.
Q: Do you have an instrument I can borrow?
A: It’s not our policy to loan instruments, but there are a few on hand. Contact us in advance to see if something is available.
Q: Can I buy the music early?
A: If you’d like to purchase the music early, you can order directly through the Harvey Phillips Foundation Tuba Christmas website. http://tubachristmas.com/merchandise.htm
Q: Will you be selling any hats, scarves, or other merchandise?
A: We will have a limited number of these items available that will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
Q: What time is the concert? Does it cost anything? How long will it last?
A: The concert begins at 1 p.m. and it is free admission. The performance usually lasts an hour.
Q: Will there be a recording of the concert available?
A: Due to copyright restrictions, we will not sell produce or sell any recordings from the event. If you choose to record, we will not prevent you from doing so.
