From the University Libraries
The University Libraries has made an extensive effort to add streaming video resources to our collections–all of these are listed at:
https://www.libraries.psu.edu/psul/researchguides/communications/streaming.html.
The University Libraries have initiated a pilot to provide online access (via streaming) to full-length feature films and other motion pictures directly to students enrolled in any course from Swank Motion Pictures, a major distributor of feature films.
This is a pilot at this point but we would like a good sense of how much this unique source will be used, what titles are used and in what teaching contexts. Only instructors can request titles from the SWANK list (using the form linked above) and they can only be streamed in/from an embedded link in your ANGEL for your course.
The license is for teaching purposes only, to stream video for specific courses taught by any Penn State instructor at any campus, including the World Campus.
Instructors send their requests for specific movie titles directly to Swank via the request form:
http://www.libraries.psu.edu/psul/researchguides/swank.html
Swank provides online access to any movie title in their “College Campus” catalog (approximately 18,000 titles), which is freely searchable at their website:

More information about this service is available at this webpage:
