Storyboard Outline
Before building any Web site, it is important to build a storyboard or an outline of what you plan to put on your portfolio. A storyboard outline helps streamline the actual creation of the site because you will have already made decisions on what pages you want and where you will place your portfolio content and examples.
Some examples of how a portfolio can be organized are shown. Before finalizing your outline, you may want to review the checklist to ensure that all requirements are met.
Write Content Before Posting
Another recommendation is to write content for longer pages, such as your teaching philosophy, reflections on technology and discipline specific links before creating a page. Again, this can help streamline the process of posting multiple pages quickly.
Example Outlines
There are a variety of ways to organize your TWT portfolio, but here are some basic ideas to help you get started.
Stand-alone TWT Portfolio
This organization assumes that the TWT portfolio is an independent site. In this case, the portfolio should include a “home page” linking to a teaching philosophy, a reflective page on what you have learned and your portfolio samples.Samples should include examples of class presentations, online resources, student communication, multimedia technology, and use of technology for teaching innovation. Below is a possible concept map image and text outline for a portfolio.

Combinining TWT Portfolio with other Web Pages
If you wish to post your TWT portfolio along with other Web pages reflecting your research or teaching interests and/or hobbies, then it is recommended that you make the portfolio a distinct section in your Web site. Below are some sample organization schemes for either a research-oriented site or for an instructor site.
Combination of Research and Teaching Portfolio
This organization scheme combines a professional researcher Web page with a teaching portfolio section. The home page leads to a C.V., a page on research interests, a page on extracurricular interests and then the teaching portfolio containing a teaching philosophy and pages on samples presented for the Teaching with Technology Certificate.
Combination of Instructor Home Page and Teaching Portfolio
This organization scheme combines a professional researcher Web page with a teaching portfolio section. The Web page leads to a teaching resume, a page on teaching awards and achievements, a page on extracurricular interests and then the teaching portfolio containing a teaching philosophy and pages on samples presented for the Teaching with Technology Certificate.
