Investigating the Effects of Varied Dual Inputs for Novel Word/Symbol Learning in Individuals with ASD

The cognition and language learning lab at Penn State is recruiting participants for a study on the processing of multiple forms of input during instruction. Participants will be provided with different forms of instruction for learning new symbol/word pairs. Participants must be on the autism spectrum, be 5-12 years old and have normal vision (or normal with correction--glasses) and normal hearing. Participation in this study will involve four online learning sessions. Participants will receive a $10 gift card for completing this study. Specifically, I am looking at whether staggering the presentation of auditory and visual information affects the learning of word-symbol pairs.
