2024 Women & Girls Index 2024 Research Report
We’re thrilled to announce that the 2024 Women & Girls Index (WGI) research is now live! This year’s report highlights both the progress and the ongoing need to amplify philanthropic support for women’s and girls’ causes. While giving to women and girls has surpassed the $10 billion mark for the first time, it still represents less than 2% of total U.S. charitable giving.

Women's Philanthropy Trends in 2024
On January 30, WPI hosted a one-hour live event where they explored research-driven insights that inform trends in gender and giving.
Speakers included Elizabeth Barajas-Roman, President and CEO of the Women’s Funding Network; Latanya Mapp Frett, President and CEO of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors; and Kiersten Marek, Founder of Philanthropy Women. Jeannie Sager, Executive Director of the Women’s Philanthropy Institute, moderated the conversation.

Measuring Giving to Women's and Girls' Organizations
We are happy to share our newest research, the 2023 Women & Girls Index. This is the fifth annual WGI, the only comprehensive index that measures charitable giving to women’s and girls’ organizations in the U.S. This year’s WGI adds 2020 data across 51,756 organizations, underscoring the impact of the pandemic and other momentous events on philanthropic support for women and girls.
