I’m a PhD candidate in Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering, Pennsylvania State University. Currently my research focuses on innovation activity and policy, using various sources of data including US patents, academic papers, National Institute of Health supported grants & funding, and crowdfunding projects (such as Kickstarter) and implementing novel tools and concepts from science of science and network science. I also finished some research on citation networks and sleeping beauty papers. Before attending PennState, I received my B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2010 and M.S. degree in Power Engineering in 2013 from Tsinghua University, with my research mainly focused on wind energy simulation and optimization techniques and data center cooling design.
