BerksThe Berks County Intermediate Unit (IU) launched two new programs this Fall. The first is a pilot with Wilson School District and Brandywine Heights School District. Berks IU partnered with Alvernia University to offer a dual credit option to Chinese 2 students. At Wilson, Chinese is being taught face to face and at Brandywine via videoconference instruction.

The second program is Berks IU’s evening academy, which is a blended hybrid program for levels one, two, and three of Chinese language. Students meet on Monday and Thursday evenings using zoom desktop videoconferencing software. Wednesday evenings there is an optional teacher office hour. The rest of the time students work independently using the Schoology LMS.
