CCTV, China Central Television, is China’s only national TV network headquartered in Beijing. Founded in May 1958, the network has been broadcasting since September 1958. CCTV currently has 43 channels and broadcasts 24/7 in the six official languages of the United Nations. CCTV reaches an audience in over 210 countries and has approximately 600 million viewers daily in China.

On September 2, 2008, the new CCTV Headquarters were opened and became a new landmark in Beijing.
