Contemporary Chinese Dictionary, now in its 6th edition in 2012, is a Chinese language dictionary compiled by the Institute of Linguistics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and published by the Commercial Press. Different from Xinhua Zidian, which mainly contains entries of characters, the entries in Contemporary Chinese Dictionary are mostly of words, terms, phrases and idioms. Relevant apps and websites of varied qualities can be found on the internet.
