Stuart Echols is a professor of landscape architecture whose interests focus on two integrated areas of stormwater design: utility and amenity. Echols has developed and advanced a Split-Flow theory of stormwater design that recognizes landscape and stormwater systems as integrated systems based on the same ecological processes, and that uses landscape design to restore and preserve natural hydrology.

Matt Royer, an environmental attorney, serves as the director of the Penn State Agriculture and Environment Center, in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Prior to joining Penn State, Matt was the Pennsylvania Attorney for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, steering committee member and chair of the stormwater workgroup for the Pennsylvania Campaign for Clean Water, and assistant counsel for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

Dr. Barbara Gray is a Professor emeritus of Organizational Behavior and Director, Center for Research in Conflict and Negotiation, at The Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Gray’s research interests include interorganizational relations, multiparty collaborative alliances, organizational and environmental conflict, team dynamics and sensemaking.

Brian Orland holds degrees in Architecture, and in Landscape Architecture. He worked at Penn State where he headed the department of landscape architecture for eight years and then directed the Stuckeman School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture before appointment as a Distinguished Professor at UGA.

Shirley Clark holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Health Engineering from the University of Alabama. She is an associate professor of Environmental Engineering at Penn State Harrisburg. Her research studies the impact of the engineered environment on nature and public health.
