The main goal of the “Career Diversity” initiative is to provide resources to you as graduate students in the College of Liberal Arts about alternative career opportunities, how to prepare for them, and factors to consider as you go through this process.

Dean Bennett and others in the Career Diversity Committee believe that it is very important for graduate students to receive information on a variety of career paths before you decide what is best suited for you. As faculty are great resources for paths in academia, this website is built to shed light on work outside of academia. It is important to note that this initiative is not designed to push students towards applied careers. Instead, it is meant to be an additional resource that enables students to weigh all options before deciding on the best path for you.
