Spring 2006

Hello nature lovers,

Get ready – 69 degrees tomorrow, maybe 70 on Friday – we’ll soon have lots to see and smell in the woods!

My walk this week revealed the tips of emerging skunk cabbage, the gleaming new bridge across the stream

(built as an Eagle Scout project by Ryan Speer – great job!), and a mating pair of red-bellied woodpeckers.

The new stream trail (cross the bridge to get there) is ready for hikers as well, so if you haven’t tried it out, I suggest tomorrow or Friday! No coat needed!

Here are some helpful links to get you ready to roam:

I’ll be sending out regular updates on what to look for as you wander.

See you on the trail,
Deborah
