Dr. Hedglin, Samuel Perreault (6th Year, Chemistry PhD), Rachel Dannenberg (5th Year, Chemistry PhD), and Grace Young (3rd Year, Chemistry PhD) attended the 55th Annual Meeting of the Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society (EMGS) in Palm Springs, California. Dr. Hedglin presented a poster on the research of Hedglin lab member Jessica Norris (Chemistry PhD Graduate, 2024), which focuses on the functional interplay of human DNA damage tolerance (DDT) pathways. Samuel Perreault presented a poster on his research focused on a ubiquitin cascade involved in the Translesion DNA Synthesis (TLS) pathway of DNA damage tolerance (DDT). Rachel Dannenberg present a poster on her research focused on DNA replication conflicts in lagging strand DNA templates. Grace Young presented a poster on her research focused on primer/template (P/T) junction binding properties of human Rad51, a DNA recombinase involved in the homology-dependent recombination (HDR) pathway of DNA damage tolerance (DDT).
