Change is hard.
No matter what area of life we’re discussion, trying to break old habits and start new ones is never easy. And sometimes, the hardest part is just getting started.
That’s why I’m encouraging Health and Human Development students, faculty, and staff to join in the Nutrition Habit Challenge. This event is a great opportunity to get started on building new and better nutrition habits.
If you visit the Nutrition Habit Challenge website, you can get full information, but the NHC is a month long individual and community effort to make all of us a little healthier. By registering, you join thousands of other people at Penn State and in Centre County who make a commitment to change ONE nutrition habit for the better. The site has some suggestions, but you choose the habit to change.
And it’s amazing sometimes what having a community supporting your change can do to help; and it’s equally amazing how just taking on a small step can make you realize how wonderful a healthy life can be.
And isn’t that what the College of Health and Human Development is all about?
So, I’d like to see our HHD students, faculty and staff lead the way for Penn State and Centre County. If anyone should take this challenge, we should! If anyone can convince others to also take the challenge, we can!
I hope you’ll sign up now and get your friends to sign up as well. There are four days left–won’t you take the challenge and help make Penn State and Centre County the leaders in health and fitness?
