Madi, Stephen, and Zach

Blog #5

Today was a much calmer and less hectic day then the past couple.  After having the chance to sleep in today for the first time this trip, we took advantage of the opportunity and caught up on all the sleep we were missing but started our day feeling fresh and awake.  Though our original plan was to go take a boat tour around Stockholm, we realized that we weren’t going to make it there on time and decided to enjoy the areas of Stockholm a little closer to our hotel since we had already been to old town yesterday and explored that area.

Since the previous two days we always turned right when we left our hotel, we decided to mix it up today and explore what was to the left.  After about two blocks of mostly company buildings, we finally reached a beautiful little part of Stockholm with many clothing stores, tons of restaurants and a very nice little park.  We grabbed lunch at a restaurant called the Taco Shop, which had great Mexican food, and decided to eat outside where right across from us was the park which made the view beautiful.  After relaxing there for a little bit, we decided to visit the clothing stores where Madi and Stephen both found pieces of clothing to add to their wardrobes.  After shopping for about a hour, we had to start making our way back to the hotel to catch the train but on our way home we needed to stop and make sure that we picked up some European Gelato before starting our journey back to Jonkoping.  After a very friendly conversation with the workers there and a great recommendation of what flavor to order, we made it back to our hotel and headed out to go make our train back to Jonkoping.

Can’t wait for what tomorrow will bring us.
