Today was full of many adventures! We started our day off by visiting the original IKEA. There is not that much of a difference between the ones back at home except everything is in Swedish. It was very interesting to see where it all started! After our IKEA trip, we walked over to the mall. Before, walking through the mall we stopped and got smoothies. The smoothies were very good and the shop offered an array of flavors. The mall was very interesting because they had more shoe stores than clothing stores. We guess you can say Swedish people love their shoes. All of the stores were places that we never heard of before except H&M. They even had a grocery store, which surprised us because we’ve never seen this in an American Mall. While in the mall we stopped at a McDonald’s. It was very cool to see the different things they offered! Our favorite was the donuts. Yes, McDonald’s in Sweden sells donuts.
After, we started our journey to Gränna. To get to our destination we had to take a ferry. This ferry was way bigger than the first one we road. It even transported cars across the water. On our way back from Gränna there was a coach bus full of people on it! How cool would it be to ride a bus across the water on a boat?! While on the island the group rented bikes to ride around. It offered beautiful scenery including castle ruins, churches, and horses. It is also a great place to appreciate nature.
