Instructional Design and Technology’s (IDT) core mission is to work collaboratively with PHS members to ensure high quality curriculum as well as to promote innovative teaching in face-to-face, blended (hybrid), and online courses. Through collaborative efforts, the goal is to assist PHS faculty in designing and developing curriculum, instructions, and assessments that meet pedagogical standards and incorporate fundamental principles of learning.
IDT@PHS provides the resources, expertise, and technical assistance to support Public Health Sciences (PHS)’ faculty and staff in all phases of teaching and learning. It works closely with faculty and staff to evaluate the pedagogical uses of various technologies and to leverage various technologies in support of instructional goals. It strives to serve faculty and staff by providing different services and resources on course design, online learning, and instructional technology to support the PHS’ educational mission.
