During this LionSide Chat, a distinguished group of CAS alumni will talk about their career journeys, their shining moments, and some of their memorable missteps. In addition, they will discuss how their undergraduate education provided a foundation for their current career and share some practical advice. These majors address the demand for highly skilled professionals ready to apply technology to solve problems across any area of business, organizations, and government. The combination of a strong technical foundation, well-developed communication and collaboration skills, real-world experience in an internship, and specialization in an area of choice produces graduates well-qualified to enter the IT workforce in a position that meets their interests and abilities as well as the needs of employers. Join us as members of CACE (Center for Academic Community Engagement), PePP (Penn State Educational Partnership Program), the Sustainability Committee, the Coordinator of the Civic and Community Engagement Minor and the Social Justice Collaborative talk about how you can get involved in the community.  Interact with students who will discuss their personal experience with community engagement. Learn how these projects complement your major, build your confidence and communication skills, and build invaluable community networks. Learn also how your participation in these projects can potentially lead to grants, internships, graduate school acceptance, and employment opportunities.
