The Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Eclipse is a so-called Tribrid mass spectrometer dedicated to proteomics work in our Core Facility. The three components of Eclipse’s architecture: a quadrupole mass filter, an Orbitrap mass analyzer, and a linear ion trap mass analyzer work together to deliver information-rich, accurate results. Analysis times vary from 1 hr (gel bands, simple mixtures) to 4 hr (cell lysates, complex mixtures). Basic data processing and reporting is included.
