I guess the picture that describes the way I learn best is the box of matches. Often, a topic may not interest me much or at all. However, certain things can cause a spark and “light a match” under me. Suddenly, I get very interested in that one particular thing. I read about it on the internet; I buy books on the subject, and I watch documentaries and movies about the topic. It gets to the point where I am wholly immersed in learning more about it. Eventually, however, just as a match burns out, I lose interest in most things. It does not end here though as another match, and another area of interest, are soon ignited.
