Hi. My name is Nolan Pisacane. I am originally from San Francisco, California, but am currently a freshman at Penn State University majoring in Economics. I love people, sports, getting outside and being in nature, and trying/learning about new things. This blog is for a class I am taking called Rhetoric and Civic Life. This class covers how rhetoric, persuasion, and communication can be used effectively in the modern world. I am excited to share my thoughts and opinions while actively working on how to better convey them.
The first blog post topic, the RCL Blogs, I will be writing about various topics and analyzing the rhetoric and conversations that surrounds these topics. For my passion blogs, I will be writing about movies. I will pick 8 of my favorite/most impactful movies that I have seen and review them as well as talk about their message/importance. I am a big fan of movies and I feel that they are a great way of telling stories and portraying messages. I hope that through these passion blogs about movies, I can give insight into some great movies and help my readers identify the important messages or simply enjoyable stories that I decide to write about.
