Welcome to the website for the Student Association of Environmental Science and Engineering (SAESE) at The Pennsylvania State University.
The main purpose of SAESE-PSU is to foster interactions between graduate and undergraduate scientists and engineers engaged in environmentally relevant research.
SAESE-PSU hosts the annual Pennsylvania State University’s Interdisciplinary Environmental Research Symposium (PIERS) (formerly ECMSS) with sponsorship from various departments, colleges, and institutes around campus and additional financial support from the University Park Allocation Committee (UPAC). The symposium attracts students from a variety of disciplines who present their work to the environmentally focused research community of Penn State and regional educational institutions. It is a great opportunity to network and build interdisciplinary collaborations with like-mined scientists and engineers!
SAESE-PSU also plans to host a fall seminar, in which prominent professors and scientists will be invited to present their research related to environmental science and engineering.
We hold bi-monthly planning meetings year-round and funds to support these day-to-day activities have been provided by a number of generous sponsors.
