The Jefferson College of Rehabilitation Sciences at Thomas Jefferson University will be running Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy Summer Training & Enrichment Programs this summer.
STEP-UP is an academic enrichment program for students who are interested in attending graduate school for occupational therapy or physical therapy and identify as the following:
- Underrepresented minorities
- First generation college students
- Students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds
- Individuals who identify as LGBTQ+
This on-campus program will be held on our Center City Campus in Philadelphia and offers an introduction to the field of occupational therapy or physical therapy, classroom and clinical observation experiences, time management and study skills training, personal statement and resume development, and an introduction to the admissions process for occupational therapy and physical therapy programs.
The program is offered at no cost to the student and will run Monday – Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 pm beginning on June 3 and ending on June 20.
If you know of any rising sophomores, juniors, seniors, or recent graduates who intend to apply to an occupational therapy program or a physical therapy program that may be interested in this experience, please have them complete the application for consideration.
The deadline to be considered for this program is Friday, May 3, 2019.
