The laboratory of Professor Scott Showalter in the Departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the Pennsylvania State University seeks to fill a postdoctoral research position to investigation structure-function relationships for intrinsically disordered proteins. The position will involve the design and implementation of NMR pulse programs for carbon-detected biomolecular NMR spectroscopy. Previous experience with NMR pulse programing is not required, but experience with biomolecular NMR, broadly defined, is strongly preferred. The successful postdoctoral candidate will work in the context of our laboratory’s broader efforts, which also include computational modelling, as well as thermodynamic and kinetic binding assays. Thus, candidates with broad training in biochemistry, biophysics or physical chemistry will be the most competitive.
