Whether you are young or old, an ardent tea drinker, or a newbie, The Northeastern Tea Expo is your chance to experience the cultures behind one of the world’s most loved beverages. mission

Our mission

The Northeastern Expo is founded on the timeless idea: “Through tea, make friends.” Our mission is to enrich the tea community by offering a space to explore the way of tea. We aim to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive community of tea enthusiasts, professionals, and artisans. Our goal is to provide a welcoming platform for individuals of all backgrounds to come together, exchange ideas, and forge meaningful connections. Through workshops, tea tastings, seminars, and demonstrations, we promote education and awareness about tea, empowering attendees to deepen their understanding of its cultural significance. Join us at the Northeastern Expo as we celebrate the endless possibilities of tea and work together to build a brighter, more inclusive future for the global tea community. Through tea, we will make friends and foster connections, one cup at a time.

penn state tea clubs

Our wonderful tea clubs (Gongfu Cha, Darye, Chanoyu), have set up an Expo, with guest speakers, venders, and workshoppers to bring everyone a taste of various tea ceremonies from East Asia. Our clubs have worked very hard to set this up and have tea specialists from Japan, Korea, and China come here to Penn State and give demonstrations.
