Personal Reaction to Gasland

I think it’s pretty safe to say that the movie Gasland had an impact on our class. Between the imagery used in the film and the emotional connection that the director, Josh Fox, aimed to create between us and his personal story, Gasland proved to resonate with myself and everyone else in last Tuesday’s class. I don’t think it’s a generalization to say that everyone in that room was in disgust throughout the movie.  For me, I always heard about what Fracking was, but never understood the impact that it really had. Gasland opened my eyes to the indecencies of natural gas drilling, and made me wonder why there isn’t a cleaner, more efficient way of extracting this fuel.
