Ever wonder what might be lurking in the shadows?
Ever think you see a person hiding in the shadows out of the corner of your eye, but when you turn, they’re gone?
Ever see someone or something dart quickly in the shadows?
Well, all your wondering can come down to one simple answer: shadow people.
Shadow people are exactly what they sound like: people who live in the shadows. They are typically male silhouette with no other real distinct characteristics. They can be tall or short, have hats on, wearing a cloak, solid black, or a little wispy. They are seen running into corners, closets, through walls, or behind buildings once the person turns their way.
Some people believe that the shadow people act as guardians for the person they are following. Almost as if they are their guardian angel. However, another large sum of the people who witness these creatures think that they are pure evil and want to do harm.
So for now no one actually knows what these creatures actually are nor do they know what they’re purpose is. And we probably won’t know until someone decides to strike up a conversation with one.
I shall leave with one final thought….beware the shadow people. Or not. I mean it’s really up to you.
Really liked this post. Very eye-opening, it makes me want to observe the world around me better, specifically all the dark corners where these shadow people live. Are they creatures or ghosts though? Because if they’re a creature, what do they eat? People? Chicken? Salad? These are the great questions humanity has yet to answer.
Cool post. Just saying, when they pop up into your dreams when your like five, it’s pretty hard to think it’s a guardian angel. I only saw one slowly creep up to me in my dream while I was being held down by some telekinetic force. It was pretty freaky and I could move my head and wiggle but that’s like all I could do. It’s why I’ve never blamed it on sleep paralysis, plus, they say sleep paralysis is due to stress and lack of sleep or something like that so I’ve never been able to see it as a sleep paralysis thing. It could just have been a very bad dream but I’ve always thought it was so crazy and the possibility that it was an actual creature is insane!
I’ve had a similar thing happen to me years ago. I too did not believe the sleep paralysis explanation in my case. Same as you explained: As I was experiencing feeling held down and couldn’t move anything but my eyes and sort of barely twitch my fingers, something that appeared to be (I believe) a (shadow) dark smoky devil head with horns, moved through my wall above the head of my bed pretty fast. I couldn’t move so I had no choice but to lay and watch as it floated in from outside at a good fast speed. I was then frozen in fear. Only Recently spoke out about it after learning about others seeing the “shadow folks”
I asked this very question to my friend who is into this kind of thing and she said they eat fear.

I personally believe they are creatures of their own. Not ghosts or demons. You know, the things people would say to make sense to them. I believe they can change their appearance, and they do not eat anything. I believe they just live in the shadows as exactly as they are, shadow people. That they are just doing their own thing. Just existing.
They suck the air out of you while u sleep,I have seen one face to face and it was watching me we started at each other for about 3min and I didn’t feel scared but I felt it was watching me waiting for me to sleep
I saw a shadow person once, at the bottom of my stairs. He had glowing white eyes.
I had one when I was younger. He had red eyes and stared into my soul and then I was prone to a nightmare that happened soon after. I still hear from him every once in awhile.
Black shadows dont eat, i see a lot of them most my life. For me their scary but cant even hurt them. Like their jello or somthing. I tried to fight them myself. They are messengers and they do protect but dont know what. When they send messages its a bad one. This happens to me durning sleep paralysis or like I imagine myself walking around my home town, they hang around places that are haunted. They tried to come after me but they seem to be tide to something like they cant go far. 🤷♀️Or Protecting spirits/ghosts. Yup they can be tall short n skinny.
The thing with me is I do 100% believe in most cryptids and urban legends, the ones that make sense not the ones that are obviously fake. And I have psychosis, and I always thought that I’ve had hallucinations of these shadowy people I’ve seen. But me personally, I now think that these people I see are just the shadow people now. That’s amazing.

Hello, I am 15 years old and I have been experiencing these shadow figures for quite some time now. Recently, I was outside, about 3 weeks ago. It was nearly 5 in the morning. And when I looked towards the trees I could see this shadow figure, I also hear voices sometimes, normally whispers. When I heard it I couldn’t tell what they said because it wasn’t loud enough ore clear. The figure actually moved towards me, it was about 30 feet away and I could see it slowly moving towards me. I got really scared and I went inside. I’ve also seen these figures on benches 40 to 50 feet away from me and I always kept my eye on them but everytime I blink about 10 feet away from them, they disappear. I also had a dream about one of these figures, a tall man but it was a shadow, nothing but darkness, I remember this dream very thoroughly, I looked at it and then started running in fear, does anyone know the reason for this?
I do, in all seriousness there is a continual spiritual war over the state of your soul (all of our souls) we either accept Jesus Christ and the God of the Bible as truth or we reject it as nonsense or whatever you care to claim… but rejecting it leaves you vulnerable to these shadow people and their will – which is to destroy, drive insane, terrorize people who are in/around those who practice divination, sorcery, magic, etc. For real my man.

The Hat Man is a seperate entity so is the Black Monk, the Hat Man is an entirely black 3 dimensional silhouette of a tall man with a tall wide brimmed hat and a floor length coat no discernible features.
Black Monk is similar though shorter/hunched over, wears hooded robe, occasionally said to have red/orange eyes
Shadow PEOPLE are human shaped 3 dimensional silhouettes, often grouped in with shadow ghosts which tend to be shapeless/amorphous and frequently transparent, differing behavior as well

Mother split with first husband, moved into duplex house with first son (4yrs old) and daughter(3yrs old) time passes, mom starts finding furniture in kids shared room rearranged,objects moved,children start talking to someone in middle of the night, no one there when checked,furniture moved without noise, kids describe tall faceless man with top hat and “cow boy coat” (duster long coat),all black like a shadow, says he moves stuff and watches them,enters through small window, mom nails window shut,repeatedly-always re-opened, she starts looking for new place. Troublesome neighbor poisons family cat,day after cat’s death,mom answers early morning knock at door, finds 2 police officers who immediately start laughing,they explain that the neighbor had accused her of killing his two rottwielers in retaliation for cat,they laughed because mom was 5ft 4in tall and 98lbs, too small to have broken two rottwieler’s necks without raising alarm….moved back in with parents that day
i have seen shadow pepole alot in my daily life i feel like they are always following me but when ever i tell sombody there are following and i show them where they are they just vanish but is there a reson why they are even here and why do they have to follow me bec it makes me look crazy when i keep looking behind me and once i saw one a cross the street and i was runing at me.

I was dreaming when I think I saw one. I was 4 or 5 (I’m 15 now) and only watched the G Rated shows/movies, nothing scary yet. I was having a strange dream, like I always had back then. Nothing strange. The dream was set in my grandma’s house. I was wandering around with my friends in this dream. I was on roller skates, which is unimportant but should be added. I looked up my grandma’s stairs, where she has an extra bedroom and a small space to put stuff. Her attic is also up there. But anyway I saw a man walk across the hallway, from one wall to the other, walking 3 dogs, or 1 dog with 3 heads. Him and the dogs were completely black, wispy, and thin. They all looked at me, and then I became paralyzed. I couldn’t move at all. I had to have my friends drag me out of the house and into a car so we could drive away. Then I woke up in a cold sweat.
I use to experience shadow people in one house that I lived in and it was only in my room I was around 11, it happened a couple times I never seen faces never talked or anything when I would wake up they would be in the corners of my room wearing clothes that was from a long time ago anyway ummm… once when I was 16 I had a black shadow fly by me and my friend seen it too we both ran off in different directions after we both looked at each other and asked if we both saw it
I am not sleeping when I see them I’m 60 yrs old and see them in my home at work.. they follow me.. was just wondering if they were bad.. I don’t have bad feelings when I see him.. he’s very tall over 6 ft , looks like he has a “golfers” hat on he’s slender , he usually comes behind me I see him over the top of me or just a fleeting shadow that’s really big.. was kind of wondering if he is some sort of guardian? Well, now I still don’t know, but at any rate he doesn’t scare me .. just curious about him more than anything
They are the devils watchers, they watch over people of interest or the weak. Rare chases the devils own. People who see these. Are usually in danger. So beware. They are not your friend.

There was this man that was in my room daily when I was little, he was a shadow, wearing a suit, and had a tall hat on. I remember describing him as Abraham Lincoln because I was little and didn’t know how else to describe him as. Ive heard many things about these, like they are guardian angles, pure evil, sleep paralysis demons, and sometimes for children these ‘entities’ are proof that they have childhood trauma, and it helps them forget. Which happened to me, my childhood wasn’t the prettiest. I had this entity showing up in my room daily, my mother eventually was catching me trying to talk to him. And then one day, he was gone.
Careful. You’ll get labeled schizophrenic if you tell the wrong person you’ve seen anything that “doesn’t exist” and then nothing you say from then on will have any merit in most circles. People aren’t interested in in hearing about anything scary or contradicting to their current beliefs. There’s a lot more going on in the world than what you’re average person is aware of. These shadow people are a part of this world and they’re not at the same time. Schrodinger’s cat. Most of the time, if you’re seeing something similar to a shadow person, you’re just catching a glimpse of something from another dimension because the lighting was just right as you were looking there. Think about seeing a diamond in a pile of sand. Some people are more sensitive to the world around then others. What are they? Couldn’t tell you but a good chunk of them genuinely do fear Christ Jesus. I became aware about 8 years ago. Don’t get me wrong, I grew up in southern Indiana in a Christian home but I always had doubts growing up. But I became “made aware” about 8 years ago. Bigfoot are also very real so go ahead and make peace with that as well. No I didn’t believe in them either until I was “made aware” and face to face with one. It’s a big world. We’re a very small part of it irrelevant to how significant we’ve made ourselves feel.
How is it we are so easy to convince of really unhealthy things. American people are losing what we should care about…a Higher Power. Helping our planet instead of destroying it. I used to see them all the time. In the begining. Only could see them. Them one day 5 of us were walking innthe ally and this shadow kid about 3 ft tall comes out of the wall, stops in front of is turn and looks at us but he has no face just a shadow. My buddy freaked out amd the shadow ran into the wall. I told my friend that they are just passing through. Yrs later another shadow apeared in my apartment where my friend and i seen it walk out of the bathroom and disapeared into the kitchen. Those are shadow people just passing through. Now there also demons that lurk in the shadowa that bring bad thoughts and depression. They drain your life force. There are 2 types of shadow people. Those that passing through and demons.
How do you get rid of them that’s the question? You wouldn’t believe what I see glowing eyes only through objects like a window and other stuff like that
My son seen the man in the hat one evening when him an I were on the trampoline together.his jumping came to a sudden and complete stop..and he pointed and said mom who is that man standing next to grampas truck… I stopped jumping and seen that he was very serious..I didn’t see anyone there.. I am trying to find out if I should be concerned for him about this..
