This time it’s actually on a Friday. What mammal does this louse parasitize? Notice how small it is => just over a half a millimeter in length! You might not be able to see them very well in the micrograph, but the tibial-tarsal complex (the grabber at the apex of each leg) is also relatively small. This mammal probably has very fine hair.

But look at these long setae (hair-like structures) on the abdomen. Are they adaptive?
