Climate Attitudes Survey Results from “Tyler on Tap” Event

Thanks to all who attended my talk, Pests, Pollinators, and You in a Changing Climate, at Tyler Arboretum on July 19, 2019.  The scorching day didn’t keep you away, and perhaps was a reminder of the relevance of the topic.  Below are the results of the survey on your attitudes to climate change.  The questions were developed by the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication. Check out their site for some fascinating glimpses into the public perception of this issue over the years and broken down by region, political affiliation, and more.  Yale also developed the concept of  the “Six Americas” to summarize our collective climate consciousness.  Scroll down to see how the Tyler audience compares to the rest of the U.S.

I’d say that this group is full of people who can spread the word about the importance of this issue, so that we all may do our part to reduce the causes and impacts of climate change.
