So far this semester we have done several small service projects including campus clean up, a visit to oaks, Friday night lights out and we have sold almost $300 worth of bracelets. Although these are small things they really help to keep our small organization going.
This semester I have learned that being a leader really takes time and I am realizing that sometimes I feel like I am not giving enough time but I am trying to do my best.
I have also been learning about the importance of communication inside the organization and between the organization and other organization as it is not always easy. I have also learned the value of reflecting on service.
Cameron and I are hoping to find more of a focus and shift from service events to service projects with more long run impacts but this is much easier said than done. Hopefully we can do it in small steps.
