(she/her)
Karis is a junior majoring in Environmental Resource Management from Berwyn, PA. She started running in high school and fell in love with cross country soon after. Joining Club XC is the best decision she has made at Penn State so far, and she is always happy to meet new people and be someone’s running buddy! Outside of running, Karis spends her time hanging out with friends, rock climbing, volunteering for THON, or listening to classic rock. She loves to try new things and is so excited to lead Club XC and see everyone’s smiling faces at Rec Hall!

Race Management Chair – Zach Probolus
(he/him)
Zach is a junior from Lancaster, PA majoring in Geography. He started running in third grade with a program called Stride that was partnered with the Girls on the Run initiative. In middle school, Zach discovered his love of distance running in middle school and joined cross country in seventh grade. He ran his first half marathon with his dad and step – mom a few months later. He continued running cross country throughout high school and made many new friends through running. It soon became a lifelong passion. He wanted to continue on running throughout college so he joined Club XC. Being part of this club definitely shaped his college experience and made him even more of a crazy runner in the wise words of Ethan Chen. The low stakes and social environment of the club is what he really enjoys. Other than running, he enjoys playing chess, watching sports, mapping his runs, and spending time with friends. He is looking forward to meeting new people and runners and is excited to give back to the Club XC community as a member of the officer board.
