Over five years from its inception, Club XC’s Miles for Smiles has raised over $100,000 in the fight against pediatric cancer. The event is a treadmill relay that consists of members running half-hour or hour shifts for a total of 46 hours, identical to THON. Money is raised from donations based on the total mileage that the team compiles throughout the weekend.

During Miles for Smiles 2022, Club XC ran a total of 398.68 miles and raised $62,680.59 for THON 2022!

The event is one that captures all of our team’s passion, love, and positivity. With music constantly blasting, visits from surprise guests, special moments to play and bond with our paired families, a theme to EVERY hour (some favorites include karaoke hour, battle of the states hour, and conspiracy hour), and our very own Club XC line dance there is never a dull moment! The energy and enthusiasm in Waring Commons is unmatched during Miles for Smiles, and the weekend is widely regarded by our team as the best weekend of the year (second only to THON itself).
