ZGroup at SPE ANTEC 2025

This year, SPE ANTEC took place in Philadelphia, and we were glad to contribute two talks to this exciting event.

One highlight is our collaborator John Buzinkai from INVISTA, who presented our latest research on PA66 blends with PA6I6T. If you’re in the nylon industry, you’re likely familiar with the many benefits of incorporating aromatic 6I6T, especially in enhancing NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) performance. However, one challenge is that 6I6T can sometimes reduce heat deflection temperature. In this talk, we shared strategies for optimizing processing conditions to improve molding performance.

Another exciting talk I’m honored to be part of explores how glass fiber geometry—specifically round vs. flat fibers—affects rheology, processing, dimensional stability, and mechanical performance. While some manufacturers promote flat fibers for superior performance, we rigorously tested these claims. Find out in the “Injection Molding: Composites” session, presented by Eric, Steve, and Nick.
