This weeks boy is the E-Boy. In case you don’t know the E-boy is an internet boy who dresses quirky or gains inspiration through punk 90’s clothing. They are the artsy boys. 

If you don’t know if a certain boy is an E-Boy, the easy indicator is if he has one single dangly earring on. I don’t quite understand it, but that’s none of my business.

Anyway, the E-boy are boys who typically do the absolute most for no reason. Remember the classic Tumblr boy or girl? Well this is that, just more turned up and more liberal.

I currently am “snapping” this E-Boy now, and yes, he has a dangly earring. He wears glasses that aren’t prescribed, recently shaved his head, and dresses in oversized sweaters and cargo pants, and wears vans with white socks.

The issue with the E-boy is that they tend to make themselves seem emotionally drained, when they aren’t. So beware. 

Another thing to beware of are the E-Boys who love to make tiktoks that aren’t funny at all. They just do them to flaunt their looks and get girls, which is beyond me because most of them are so cringe.

In addition, e-boys will break your heart. Don’t believe me? The boy who is snapping me that I talked about above? He cheated on an old friend of mine their first week at school. They go to the same college mind you. He never told her, and she found out, because the girl went up to her at a party and told her the truth. Can you imagine?

Definitely do NOT bring the e-boy home to meet mom and dad. I repeat do not. Your dad will make fun of him for his jewelry, the outfit he has on, and your dad will hate the way he pretends to not care. Your mom? She’ll hate that he does drugs, and she will get worried that he’ll get you into his habits of smoking pot. This isn’t even a stereotype, it’s facts. I know quite a few e-boys as my hometown crawled in them, so this is all proven. This is why most of them are single.

You won’t be able to go on dates, because he’ll for sure come to pick you up and take you to Olive Garden via skateboard. Not that romantic, huh? If it breaks on the freeway? Well, good luck Charlie.

Basically, I am saying don’t date them, they make horrible boyfriends, but I am sure they’ll be amazing friends.

There are positives to them too, don’t get me wrong. They make great friends as everything is chill with them. If you’re a girl and you’re tired of how your girl friends tend to get uptight, the e-boy makes the perfect guy friend. We all know that guy friends in general are just amazing to have.

The e-boy as a friend could also lend you clothes, and help you with your style. You might hate the way they dress, but the clothes they wear are in right now. They usually tend to listen to good music too. Think Frank Ocean.

Also, they can teach you how to skate! I mean SCORE! Right? I am being sarcastic, because I personally don’t care for skating, but hey, you might.

So, if you’re thinking about dating an E-Boy, think Avril Lavigne “He was a skater boy, she said see you later boy. He wasn’t good enough for her”, because it’s not worth it. He’ll make a way better friend. Trust me.
