Text analysis refers to the process of extracting information from text using a blend of statistical, computational, and linguistic techniques, and can be useful for qualitative research.
In this hands-on workshop we will explore the basics of text analysis using R, free-open source software for statistical computing and graphics. Participants may bring content of their own, but we also will provide sample files to explore.
There are no prerequisites, though a general familiarity with R is useful and encouraged. Note that this session is designed for beginners with little to no experience performing text/qualitative analysis. This workshop is exploratory and introductory in nature.
