I’m Kira, and I’m a sophomore studying risk management. I chose to take this course not for a GQ, but because it genuinely seemed to be an interesting class. I am planning on going in a different direction than originally planned which will lead me to a different school next semester for welding. I think this course is relevant to me mainly because my intended subject of study involves the use of various natural resources (gas, metals, etc.) I think that “sustainability” is simply the method of either staying alive or lasting. This can mean literal living beings maintaining life, or figuratively speaking, something like the “life” of a river before it dries up. “Resilience” is the capability something has to recover from losses or replenish depleting resources. For this blog, it is required that I attach a photo and a hyperlink, so here is a photo of a puppy I found, and here is the link to a game (related to math) I used to play around on as a child! I suppose you have to see how long you can sustain your lemonade stand! AND>>>> http://www.coolmath-games.com/0-lemonade-stand

Welcome Kira, thanks for your post. Especially when we get to the “risking” part of the course it will be good to have your input as a Risk Mgt major.
I remember playing “Lemonade Stand” on an Apple II which was the latest shiny technology one of my fellow grad students owned. I think that was 1982…
I loved that game! It’s nice to see it’s still out there on the internet.
I’m also taking MATH 033 for the same reason.
