Darah Donaher

Hey everybody! I’m Darah and I am a junior Acting major in the School of Theatre. I am from Bethlehem, PA and last semester was my first semester at Penn State. This is actually the third college I have attenIMG_4041ded in the last three years. My freshman year I attended to DeSales University, my sophomore year I attended Marymount Manhattan College, and junior year, here I am! But I absolutely love it here and plan to stay! Something that has never changed though is that I was a theatre major at all three schools. I am a part of the Singing Lions on campus and will be in the School of Theatre’s production of Julius Caesar this Spring! Besides acting, singing and dancing, I love to bake, but I can’t eat gluten so I have learned how to bake gluten free.

The truthful reason I am taking this class to fulfill my GQ requirement, however I was very excited to not just be taking a course where I would be doing math problems that I would never use again in my life. When I first thought about sustainability, I thought about maintaining something and helping it last. Within the first few days of classes I am realizing how important sustainability is to talk about, and that having this knowledge will help me be a better person to the world we live in. And resilience, is about bouncing back from a set back and not giving up.

Hey Darah, I started at Penn State and transferred to a Lycoming College and then back here . I was contemplating transferring to another school but I hesitated because I was afraid of transferring to a new school. I haven’t met anymore who’s transferred as much as me. I don’t feel as strange anymore lol.
